Part-Time File Clerk

Evans & Dixon is currently seeking to add a part-time File Clerk with 1+ years of experience to assist our Worker's Compensation team in our Springfield, MO office. This is a demanding and fast paced position for an ambitious person. Candidates must be responsible, have the ability to multi-task, possess the ability to organize and maintain files; have excellent technical, interpersonal, and client-related skills; have a creative and diplomatic approach to problem solving and a keen sense of organization. We are looking for self- disciplined candidates with a strong work ethic.

Gain valuable and real-world legal experience by working alongside attorneys during all phases of the litigation process, from the initiation of a case to the discovery period through trial and post-trial findings and appeals. What you'll do:

As a File Clerk, you will have the opportunity to support your team of attorneys and legal support staff by assisting with:

• Developing and maintaining databases
• Labeling and updating paper files
• Organizing and utilizing our paper filing system
• Gathering and organizing files and documents for coworkers' use
• Photocopying and sending faxes
• Provide general administrative and clerical support

What we're looking for:

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs
• Ability to learn various software applications
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work 20 to 24 hours a week

Education and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• A minimum of one year of experience in an administrative role
